I break the rules - often, and I love to shoot against the sun to create magical glowing imagery you can sense with your entire being. I find beauty in simple words that exude certain moods: "hygge" a feeling of warmth and coziness in a company of loved ones, or "petrichor" - the comforting smell of dry soil after a long awaited rain. These expressive inspirations help me create complex visuals that interpret sceneries with deep emotion.
You might have noticed, that I adore free spirited couples stoked to share their life adventures together. At your wedding, you two are the most powerful inspiration, so it means the world to me to connect with you on a deeper level and to be able to capture your story, your joy, your tears and goosebumps.
FUN FACT
The camera in the photo is crazy meaningful to me!
It is called Flexaret and it was made in Czechoslovakia until the 70's! This one was given to me by my dad, along with another analog cameras - all functional. It symbolizes the deep friendship I share with my parents and it keeps me grounded in times I can’t physically see them - which is most of the year, living thousands of miles away from my family.
The visual aesthetic of images from old film cameras influenced my style from the very beginning. As a classically trained street photographer, I used to develop photos in a makeshift darkroom, because I loved the magical moments of excitement while waiting to see the image appear on the paper while immersed in miraculous emulsions.
I regularly visit exhibits of documentary photographers that created black and white impressions of the environment they lived in all over the world. I value them as charming snippets of pure life moments that will never repeat again.

MY STYLE
My journey as a photographer began long ago, when my parents gave me a film camera. That summer, my dad took me on a trip to Prague and Budapest, where I started experimenting with capturing everyday moments on the streets. I was especially drawn to photographing people on the subway—ordinary scenes of commuters heading to work, school, or home.
A decade later, when I moved to San Francisco to study photography, I found myself returning to that same passion for candid, street-style moments and a film aesthetic. Today, I live in Michigan, where I draw on my classical training in photography to shape my approach to wedding and elopement storytelling. My style blends a fine art aesthetic with the raw, unscripted moments that unfold naturally in between.
I am not just a Michigan wedding photographer, who shows up with a set of standard poses:

I’m not a high-volume photo studio working with hundreds of clients each year—instead, I focus on creating a more personal, meaningful experience. One of my top priorities is getting to know you and building a genuine connection that lasts well beyond your session. By intentionally limiting the number of bookings I take on each year, I’m able to offer a boutique studio experience that’s thoughtfully tailored to your unique vision.
Being a wedding and elopement photographer in Michigan has been a deeply rewarding, emotional and life-changing experience. I had a chance to work with the sweetest couples in breathtaking landscapes, in elegant art deco palaces, simple barns, industrial warehouses, in places quirky, unique and wild. My brand has a certain look and feel, and this is partially achieved in post-production, using techniques that are unique to my style. My editing is inspired by film and grain and is focused on true colors, accurate skin tones, warm, glowing, earthy hues. I pride myself in producing images that are timeless. I am not a fan of heavy filters or major color changes, because I strive to create images for you to view throughout the decades.
During your wedding portrait session, I'll give you easy instructions, asking you to move and interact together in ways that allow me to capture unposed candid moments in a flattering way. We might play games with prompts that include movements and feelings. You'll connect with your partner on a different level and manage to conquer another challenge hand in hand!
On your wedding day, I will recap the run of show with you, answer any questions and then get to work!
I will compose still life images of your accessories and stationery, I will photograph your wedding dress in a fine art aesthetic, I will capture you getting into your wedding attires and seeing each other for the first time. I will be a fly on the wall to document each significant moment for the rest of your day.

When you book me as your documentary Michigan wedding photographer who also specializes in candid intimate elopement photography, you're booking my knowledge of boutique venues and breathtaking locations. But that's not all. I spend hours scouting new places, researching activities and vetting vendors to be able to provide my expertise for your unique experience. I will also become your sounding board to consult ideas about your dream wedding adventure.
Through all of this, we will most likely become friends and I will silently shed a tear hiding behind my camera when I witness you exchange vows with your one and only. You chose me to be a part of your day and I don't take that lightly. We will chat about exciting hiking trails in Hawaii and the most vibrant restaurants in the world. I will put my entire soul into telling your story in a documentary style and make sure your wishes are taken care of through the entire planning process until the delivery of your wedding photographs.
