Michigan Winery Wedding in Leelanau Peninsula
Napa Valley, watch out! This romantic Traverse City wedding with soft light and delicious bubbly was an absolute Northern Michigan winery dream. Kaitlin and Alex, Chicago locals, tied the knot at Brengman Brothers Estate Winery in Leelanau Peninsula as the last rays of summer were falling on the rolling hills of golden vineyards.

Brengman Brothers Winery transforms into a Magical Wedding Venue
The couple chose Brengman Brothers Winery for their Traverse City wedding because of its accessible location and five star standards. The estate is located close to downtown Traverse City and can host intimate weddings in a vineyard setting on its charming property. The modern but dramatic tasting room can accommodate up to 70 people and it’s equipped with an impressive vaulted ceiling, stone fireplace and candle-lit chandeliers. The patio tented area is a comfortable Michigan wedding venue that accommodates up to 225 guests, while offering a magical view of the romantic vineyard.

First look in the vineyard in Traverse City
Kaitlin and Alex are wine enthusiasts, so it was only natural that they envisioned a luxury wine region wedding in Michigan. Kaitlin wore a stunning Winnie Couture wedding dress and Alex put on a custom made suit with personalized details. So, they decided to see each other for the first time surrounded by sweet grapes. The couple enjoyed a few private moments just before the wedding guests started trickling in.

Traverse City Winery wedding ceremony with a custom arch
Kaitlin and Alex planned for an outdoor wedding ceremony and Michigan weather made it happen for them. It was a gorgeous warm day at the beginning of October. The wedding ceremony area was decorated with simple but charming decor and a magnificent arch as a center of attention.
Their ceremony was officiated by Kaitlin’s aunt, which made the event so much more meaningful and personalized. The wedding party was stylish, as they stood alongside the couple and by the end of the ceremony, everyone was up for a night of partying.

Traverse City Wedding toast in the vineyard
After the wedding ceremony, Kaitin and Alex popped a bottle of local sparkling wine and strolled around the vineyard with their 2-year old daughter. The sun was setting and the temperatures were getting colder, so the guests moved to a heated outdoor reception area decorated with rustic tables with rose and gold accents. The guests were also welcome to enjoy a cigar bar and a fire pit with cozy adirondack seating.

Michigan Wine Region is the new destination for Midwest Weddings
Traverse City is one of the most visited scenic areas in Northern Michigan. If you’ve ever cruised down Michigan’s notoriously scenic M-22, you are familiar with rolling hills, vineyards, picturesque estates and breathtaking sunsets on Leelanau Peninsula. Michigan experiences chilly springs and warm fall weather throughout the year, which allows grapes to benefit from a longer growing season.

Charming Winery Reception with a talented DJ
As I learnt from the wedding speeches, the couple loves to go clubbing, so they hired a talented DJ for their Traverse City wedding. The crowd had a great time dancing to a well mixed repertoire. The property of the winery looked like a candle lit lantern in the rolling hills, as I was driving away for the night. The beautiful hygge atmosphere gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling of impending fall.
